Our 2012 – 2013 President is Bob Jackson
Bob Jackson is a retired United States Marine Corps Colonel, and recently retired as the Senior Marine Instructor of the Sweetwater High School Marine Corps JROTC Program in National City, CA. Bob Jackson currently works as an American Counsel on Exercise (ACE) Personnal Trainer, and is also an AMSOIL Independent Synthetic Motor Oil Dealer. In addition to existing programs, Bob’s plans for the Club include rendering more assistance to National City Schools, increasing Rotary visibility in the community, and increaseing Club membership. The Rotary Club will continue to support our Thousand Smiles International Project in Ensenada, MX. The club is planning to major fund raisers during the year that will provide support to several National City organizations.
National City Rotary has a long history of Community and International service. The club was founded in 1950. Current Club projects include Thousand Smiles, Ensenada; Annual Foster Children’s Picnic at Admiral Baker Field, San Diego; Bicycles for outstanding middle school students in National City; Scholarship for a Sweetwater High MCJROTC Cadet; participation in “Christmas in July;” American Flag Salute Program, and last but not least, participating in Rotary International’s Polio Plus Challenge program.
